Sheetz Announces Celebration for Opening of New Swiftwater Location

Altoona, PA (July 26, 2021) — On Thursday, July 29th, Sheetz, a family-owned and operated restaurant and convenience chain across the Mid-Atlantic, will officially open a new store located at 2008 PA-611, Swiftwater, PA 18370.

The grand opening festivities will begin at 9 a.m. with multiple prizes awarded, including the giveaway of $1,500 in Sheetz gift cards. No purchase is necessary to win. A Sheetz family member will be present for the official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, set for 10:45 a.m., just before the store’s official opening at 11 a.m. This new location will also welcome customers by offering free self-serve coffee and soda for the entire grand opening day.

Named Best Regional Fast Food Chain by USA Today in 2020, this new location will offer Sheetz’s award-winning Made-to-Order (MTO®) menu on its unique touch-screen order terminals where customers will be able to order any of Sheetz’s customized specialty drinks or food items around the clock.

Deeply committed to the communities it serves and in honor of this grand opening, Sheetz will donate $2,500 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania, an organization that provides nutritious food, offers nutrition education, advocates to end food insecurity, dismantles barriers to create access, and works to attain food justice. The organization distributes food to its network of 200+ nonprofit community partners, including food pantries, meal centers, shelters, schools, and senior living centers across Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, and Wayne counties. Second Harvest is a program of Community Action Lehigh Valley and a member of Feeding America. Customers attending the grand opening are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to the Food Bank. Participants will receive a Sheetz branded thermal bag, limit one per customer while supplies last from 9-11 a.m.

Additionally, Sheetz will donate $2,500 to the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania. A proud supporter of the Special Olympics for over 25 years, Sheetz also extends its support to the organization through product donations and event volunteers.

Following Sheetz’s policy regarding face masks, Sheetz is requiring all non-vaccinated individuals wear a face covering while attending this event. Sheetz is focused on continuing to deliver on its mission to provide total customer focus across all the communities it serves with the safety of all who walk through its doors as the top priority. Sheetz is encouraging social distancing in its stores, conducting employee well-checks prior to every shift and carrying out enhanced daily cleaning and sanitization protocols with a focus on high touch surface areas such as gas pumps, order points, counter tops, checkout lines, door handles and more.
