On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) approved nearly $3.8 million in Statewide Local Share Account grants for Monroe County projects. Of that, $1.837,097 goes to the Monroe County Industrial Development Authority and Pocono Mountains Industrial Park Authority for a variety of projects throughout the county.
“We apply for funding for our own economic development and infrastructure projects, but also on behalf of numerous non-profit organizations seeking funding for their projects,” commented Michelle Bisbing, President of MCIDA and PMIPA. “This is one of the many services we provide for both the Statewide LSA and Monroe LSA programs.”
The projects approved for MCIDA/PMIPA are as follows:
- AWSOM Shelter Expansion – $50,000
- Crescent Lake Well Water System – $350,000
- Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation – $130,000
- Sherman Theater Renovations – $200,000
- Eldred Township Community Center Roof – $600,000
- Monroe County Municipal Waste Management Authority Vehicle – $256,116
- Exits 298/299 Realignment Project – $250,000
