Telecommunications Service
The Pocono area is positioned to be a regional technology and telecommunications leader. Monroe County provides an advantage for employers in the area and makes the Poconos a viable choice for high-tech employees.
PenTeleData and its affiliate, Blue Ridge Cable are a commonly used provider of communications infrastructure in Monroe County. Verizon also offers telecom service and T-Mobile is expanding its footprint in the area.
Natural Gas
Three natural gas pipelines serve Monroe County; an 82-mile pipeline owned by Williams; a 41-mile pipeline owned by Columbia Gas Transmission and a third pipeline owned by Penn Fuel Gas, Inc. Penn Fuel Gas can be reached at 800-235-2224.

Water and Sewage
Public water and sewage treatment services are available in many areas of the County. There are also a number of privately-owned sewage and water plants located throughout the County.
Brodhead Creek Regional Authority (BCRA) 570-421-3232
BCRA has offices at 401 Mill Creek Road in East Stroudsburg and is a provider of both water and sewer plant operations. BCRA’s service area includes Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg, the Rt. 611 corridor from Stroudsburg to Swiftwater and water service to portions of Jackson Township.

Middle Smithfield Township Sewer operates a number of plants providing service in the Township. Their website also includes a map of the sewer and water coverage area of Rt. 209.
