The Pocono Mountains Economic Development Corporation is an umbrella trade name for the 3 Monroe County, PA county-wide economic development organizations. Governed by an 11-member Board of Directors, the Monroe County Industrial Development Authority directors are appointed by the Monroe County Commissioners. The Pocono Mountains Industries and Pocono Mountains Industrial Development Authority Boards adopt the MCIDA directors as their own. The Boards meet monthly and direct policy for all three organizations. Board members all serve on various committees that meet on an as-needed basis to review projects and make recommendations to the full Board. Each Board adopts the same officers for administrative efficiency.
