Monroe County Hospice House Dedicates New Healing Garden for Patients and Their Families

At a ceremony held August 12, 2021, the Monroe County Hospice House dedicated its new Healing Garden at 412 Brown Street in East Stroudsburg.

“The garden was created to provide a beautiful, tranquil setting for hospice patients and their loved ones to enjoy,” said Elizabeth Wise, President, Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono.

Wise was joined buy Senator Mario Scavello, State Representative Rosemary Brown and State Representative Maureen Madden who provided their remarks.

The Healing Garden was funded by a Local Share Account for Monroe County grant which was facilitated by the Monroe County Industrial Development Authority/PMEDC.

“We were so pleased to be able to work with the staff at LVHN to submit the LSA application and to be awarded the funds.  It is wonderful to be here to see the end result,”  added Michelle Bisbing, PMEDC Director of Marketing.

The Monroe County Hospice House provides intensive care to patients near the end of life, as well as supports families who need brief respite care.  To learn more about the Monroe County Hospice House, visit LVHN.org/hospicehouse
