Pennsylvania CareerLink

Launched in July, 2012, PA CareerLink® is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s initiative to transform the landscape of how job-seekers find family sustaining jobs and how employers find the skilled candidates that they need. Through this initiative, a user-friendly, premiere job-matching system has been created to help bridge the gap that currently exists between job-seekers and employers.  PA was the first state to integrate physical one stop centers with the virtual on-line system found at the PA CareerLink This system allows both employers and job seekers access to services 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

At PA CareerLink® Monroe County, you will find comprehensive employment and training services for both local and regional employers and residents. Job assessment and testing, On-the-Job training, employment counseling, and more. Job search workshops are offered and employers are assisted with employment screening, recruitment  and anything else needed to secure a solid employee.

Monroe Career and Technical Institute
Since 1972, MCTI has been providing quality secondary and post-secondary career training in 22 areas of study. MCTI serves students from all area school districts, as well as adult learners from throughout the area. Visit MCTI online.

Various programs to serve adults, youth and dislocated workers include Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) for classroom training, On-the-Job Training (OJT), GED programs, job readiness and computer skills training. Training provided is based on the availability of jobs in the workforce, so the focus for the job seeker is employment.

Wednet PA  helps eligible Pennsylvania companies grow by providing funding to train and upskill their existing employees—boosting workforce talent and business competitiveness.

Office of Vocational Rehabilitation

Career Ready Monroe is an initiative spearheaded by a coalition of organizations and individuals interested in developing Monroe County’s workforce with the mission to implement a countywide career pathways system. The goal is to successfully prepare Monroe County students to make informed decisions about in-demand careers and the education, training or work experience they will need to get started.
