Pennsylvania small businesses (less than 100 full time equivalent employees) can apply for these grants for eligible projects that improve energy efficiency, reduce pollution, or protect the natural resources of Pennsylvania (relating to the specific business). Funding levels are a minimum of 50% of the eligible project up to $7,500, with additional funding up to 65% for projects resulting in significant environmental savings [65% up to $9,750]; projects located in Environmental Justice Areas, which includes some properties near I-80 in the Stroudsburg area [65% or $9,750]; or both [80% up to $12,000].
The program can fund replacements boilers and furnaces; refrigeration equipment, HVAC systems; truck retrofits; replacement of medical scanner or x-ray equipment and more! For program resources, refer to the PA DEP Small Business Advantage Grant website. This program is open until the $1 million allocated for this fiscal year is committed. Projects must be completed before June 30, 2027 and cannot have started before July 1, 2026.
